zname - Returns the atomic number of a given element

SYNOPSIS

#include <nuclib.h>

int zname(char *s);

Link with -lnuclib.

DESCRIPTION

The zname() function returns the atomic number of an element (up to Z=118) given its name as defined by the UIPAC standard.

UIPAC name of element

RETURN VALUE

The function returns the value described, -1 in case the element name is not defined.
